Halloween 2011

Chloe's ghostly pumpkin. She did all (okay most) of the carving herself.

Taya's cat/bat pumpkin.

The pumpkin guts are the best part!

Trick-or-treating with the Velanders

Taya was a hip pirate

Chloe was a dark angel

Spooky houses

Seriously awesome decorations!

This guy was real & scary!

When Chloe was younger she would say, "Trick or treat. Smell my feet. Give me something good to eat. If you don't, I don't care. I'll pull your underwear down." (Instead of saying, "I'll pull down your underwear." which rhymes.)

Well, the girls are a little older now and Chloe knows how to say the rhyme, but they thankfully have not outgrown trick-or-treating yet. I love, love, love Halloween! It's creepy, scary and fun! This year we went over to Cold Spring and went trick-or-treating with the Velanders. The kids ran from house to house until they have a bag full of candy and were so tired they almost fell asleep on the way home. There were some really awesome houses decked out for the night. Check out that one that had a full graveyard! And the guy at the end was a real guy...dressed up and just standing in his yard! Seriously! The kids wouldn't go anywhere near him. He kind of freaked me out too!

Hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween!
