WoW! I woke up today and realized that it is almost the end of July and summer is almost 2/3 gone! Where does the time go? It's been a busy and eventful summer full of BBQs, swimming lessons, theater camp, and getting together with friends. Here's a little of what we've been up to....
In June, the girls took swimming lessons through community ed at the Sauk Rapids High school. This was the hit of the summer for the girls. They both love the water. Taya hadn't taken lessons since she was very little and Chloe had never had formal lessons, but after their first few lessons they were both jumping off the diving board and loving it! They were sad when swimming ended and I think next year we'll have to sign up for lessons that last a little longer.
This summer we started a "BBQ round" with two of my friends from work. Each month, a different family hosts a BBQ for the other families. In June, we enjoyed a BBQ and bonfire at Naomi and Bob's place by the lake. We played beanbags, had a great meal, and the kids loved roasting marshmallows for smores.
